They farmed between Komensky and Moravia. *1930 Census, Lavaca County, Texas, Pct-2 District 143-7, ED 25, sheet 4. listed as Julia, age 41. The 1920 census had her as Julie. Neighbors to their farm were Rybak, and Janak. (Her son Hubert married a Janak; Albina) *My favorite grandmother - would always feed me the best she had - the sweets were out of this world. Her Kolaches were so good - a very good cook, especially on a wood burning stove. She always gave me some money before we left. She was so kind and wonderful. I think she was the glue of the family. Death certificate: cause of death Carcinoma of rectum, adenocarc oma 15 months - and Carcinomatosis Died at SHADY OAK NURSING HOME Moulton, Texas Informant: daughter Mrs Adolph Pesek Jr., "Helen".
