Bio
Son of Frank & Frances Ourada. Graduated from Doane College & went on to play semi pro baseball for several years. Served as an MP in the US Army during the Korean War. Duane touched many lives as a teacher & coach – 9 yrs. in Cedar Rapids, NE & 21 yrs. in Crete, NE, retiring 1n 1996. He enjoyed coaching football, basketball, track. Survived by; Wife – Shirley of Lincoln; Son & Daughter-in-law – Thomas & Debra Ourada of Crete; Daughters & Sons-in-law – Lori & Ron Dux of Beatrice, Robin & Jeff Hostetter of Omaha; Grandchildren & Spouse – Eric & Blythe Dewey, Jaclyn Ourada, Jace Ourada, Jessica & Steve Rogers, James Dux, Holly Hostetter, Lindsey Hostetter; Sisters – Mary Johnson, Rosie Davis & Mickey Drost. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, brothers, George, Albert, Leonard & Eugene; sisters, Velma Ourada & Lillian Strohmeyer.
