ANNIE M. STAVENA WHARTON Annie Marie Stavena, 88, of Wharton died Wed-nesday, Oct. 19, 1994. She was born July 29, 1906, in Fayette County to Joseph and Veronica Sury Novosad. She married Ludwig L. Stavena on Feb. 14, 1928, in Fayetteville. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the K.J.Z.T. Survivors: husband; daughters, Estelle Keeler of San Antonio, Dorothy Goff of Pasadena, Bernice Novosad of Porter, Clara Chumchal of Wharton and Margaret Worthy of Needville; sons, Daniel Stavena of Bay City, Norbert Stavena of Brenham, James Stavena of Sugarland, Patrick Stavena of East Bernard and Gilbert Stavena of Pearland; 43 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by: daughter, Elizabeth Ingle; sons, Arnold Stavena and Leonard Stavena; sisters, Veronica Kaderka and Mary Novosad and brothers, Joseph Novosad, John Novosad, Peter Novosad, Paul Novosad, Victor Novosad, William Novosad and Raymond Novosad. Rosary: 7 p.m. today, Wharton Funeral Home chapel. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev. Joe Vrana officiating. Burial: Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Wharton Funeral Home, Wharton, (409) 532-3410.
