Ivan B. Delair Ivan B. "Buzz" Delair, 75, Yelm, died on Saturday, Oct. 6, 1990, in Puget Sound Healthcare Center in Olympia. He was born on Dec. 24, 1914, to William and Mable (Gavette) Delair in Layton, Calif. He attended school in California. Mr. Delair was a heavy equipment operator and traveled around the Southwest working on construction sites, such as the Pueblo Dam in Colorado, the Strawberry and the Current Creek dams in Utah as well as many roads and highways. He was married to Nora I. Ford on Aug. 11, 1972, in Duchene, Utah. He retired in 1975 in Lathrop, Calif. They moved to Rochester in 1978 and then moved to Yelm in 1983. Mr. Delair enjoyed building rock gardens and working in his flower gardens. Surviving, besides his wife of the family home, are a daughter, Debbie Bowen, Willard, Utah; two sons, Jerome Delair, Pasa Robles, Calif. and Byron Delair, Ogden, Utah; a stepson, Dennis Ford, two sisters, Daisey Bonds, Bucoda and Beatrice Robinson, Centralia; also, nine grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. At the request of Mr. Delair, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Mills and Mills Funeral Directors, Olympia.
