Services August 27 For John Brake Of Chicago John R. Brake passed away at his home August 26 at the age of 66. He was born September 18, 1911 at Mt. Sterling. His parents were the late Robert and Agnes (Woods) Brake. He was a member of the Fargo Presbyterian Church and the Anchor and Ark Lodge Number 1027, FM and AM. He was a Captain of the Waukegan Police Department and President of the F. B. I. Illinois Academy Associates. Services were held Tuesday, August 27 at 10:30 at the Peterson Funeral Home, with burial at the North Shore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. He is survived by his widow, Helene; a daughter Judith Cain; a brother Oral Lee Brake; a sister-in-law Mrs. Francis Brake; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
