Garvel Mcmullen February 18, 1959 — December 20, 2016 Garvel DeWayne McMullen, 57, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Garvel was born February 18, 1959 in De Ridder, Louisiana to Jesse and Garney McMullen. He worked as a truck driver for Groendyke Transport. Garvel enjoyed watching old western movies, keeping others on their toes and being just a bit ornery. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Melba and Pauline; brother, Shelton and an infant brother. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia of the home; sons, Shannon McMullen and wife Shanon of Borger, Jesse McMullen and wife Sabrina of Willis; five grandchildren, LeAnn, Justin, Hannah, Austin and Levi; brother, Shelby McMullen of Conroe; and sisters, Lottie Mae Thacker of The Woodlands, Louise Jetter of Conroe, and Eloise Jetter and husband, Doug of Crosby.
