Mrs. Lois Lodena Lawson, age 88, of Princeton, Texas passed away August 14, 2008, in McKinney, Texas. She was born on June 29, 1920, in Gunter, Texas to George and Olive Miller. On July 2, 1938, she married Reno Lawson. Mrs. Lawson was a certified medication aid and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her sons, George Lawson and wife, Margaret of McKinney, Sammy Lawson and wife, Ruth of Ravenna, Texas, and Billy Lawson also of McKinney; grandchildren, Billy, Danny, Randy and Charles Lawson, Linda Stevens, Sammy Lawson, Jr., Tammy Roberts, Jennifer Cannon, Jerry and Billy Joe Lawson, Penny and Eric Lawson; great grandchildren, Sammy Lawson III, Kyle Rothenberger, Dakota Cannon, Summer and Josh Roberts, Michael, Jenny, Christy, Tyler and Danny Lawson, Kayla Foster and Charles Lawson, Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Hoyte Miller and wife, Movelda of Mesquite, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and many friends. Her husband Reno and son, Joe preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
