Bio

Ruby Nadine Turner, 86, of McKinney passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, in McKinney. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of McKinney. Interment: Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Erath County to Andrew Lee and Julia Elizabeth Burnett Havens. She retired from Xerox Corp. after 25-plus years of service. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and was a Baptist. She was an avid bowler up until April of this year. She also enjoyed gardening her roses and world travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Eugene Turner; her parents; and three brothers. Survivors: Her son, Jimmy and Linda Turner of Denison; daughter, Jerry and Gordon Givens of McKinney; granddaughter, Michelle and Chris Nichols of Bells; three stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
