Bio

James Dan (Danny) Burns was born May 29, 1942, to Leonard and Mary McColgin Burns, Reydon, Oklahoma. He died Saturday, January 18, 1992 at Mercy Health Center after a courageous battle against cancer. He graduated from Southwestn State University in 1964 and had worked for Copeland International in Oklahoma City since that time. He and Martha Mann were married on April 8, 1978 and made their home in Bethany. Dan is survived by his wife, Martha; his parents, Leonard and Mary Burns of Reydon, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Don Burns and wife, Roberta of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Eugene Burns and his wife Elenita of Agency, Missouri; 1 sister, Kay Lovett and husband Tom of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law and husband, Frankie and Judson Corn of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Pat Mann and wife Emmalee, and nieces and nephews. Dan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services were Monday January 20, 1982 at Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
