Bio

Melvin Waggle, 71, of Mount Vernon, Arkansas passed away to his final resting place December 29, 2025. He was born August 12, 1954 in Searcy, Arkansas to William Norman Waggle and Bertie Elizabeth Kidd Waggle. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Early in his life Melvin worked in construction, the dairy farm business where he met his life-long friend, and then a welding career that he enjoyed. He had a mischievous sense of humor and loved to keep those around him on their toes. He enjoyed fishing and when he wasn't fishing he was working on going fishing but what he loved most was his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Waggle; 3 daughters, Carlotta Mooney of Judsonia, AR, Lisa Crowe (Jessie) of Searcy, AR, Patricia Rodriguez of Rose Bud, AR; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Family and time is life's greatest blessing. Visitation will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints in Quitman, AR on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Gray Cemetery in Romance, AR.
