Peggy Donohue September 11, 1942 — June 4, 2023 Peggy Jean (Urbanovsky) Donohue passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 4, 2023 after an extended illness. A rosary will be recited for Peggy on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. followed by memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at Aderhold Funeral Home, 808 S. Reagan St., West, Texas 76691. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in West, Texas at a later date. Peggy was born September 11, 1942 to Agnes (Kral) and Henry Urbanovsky in West, Texas. It was at the West Playdium swimming pool in the summer of 1957 where she met the love of her life Wendell Donohue, her husband of 60 years. Peggy and Wendell married in 1961 and lived in several cities in Texas and Colorado Springs, Colorado before settling in Richardson, Texas in 1976. Peggy attended St. Mary's Catholic School and West High School. She and Wendell have been devoted to their hometown and alma mater, attending reunions, festivals and maintaining deep connections with family and friends in the area. Peggy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (University of Texas at Dallas) and a Master's Degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy (Texas Women's University). After graduation, Peggy taught at Richland College and established her private practice, Professional Counseling Services. She was devoted to her clients and the Richardson community for more than 30 years. Peggy's greatest sources of pride and joy were her two children, Dr. Lori Donohue Stetler and Lance Donohue in Dallas and her two grandsons, Dr. Jeff Stetler in Charlotte, and Brandon Stetler in Denver. She also adored her son in law Dr. Buzz Stetler and her two granddaughters in law, Molly Stetler and Chrissie Stetler. "Granny," as she was known to her grandchildren along with "Pops," was a devoted grandmother who loved nothing more than taking her grandsons on adventures and cheering them on from the sidelines of their many sports endeavors. Peggy and Wendell loved to travel abroad but also to their beloved Colorado. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is also survived by her two sisters, her brother in law, David Holecek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved very much. https://www.aderholdfh.com/obituaries/peggy-donohue
