Bio
Patsy Ruth Bush passed away Saturday, Dec.13th surrounded by her loving family at PRMC in Palestine after a short illness. Patsy was born Jan. 20, 1932, to Carl and Daisy Stendebach. Patsy was a devoted mother to her children and family. She loved spending time with her large family. Especially on holidays. She loved nature and being able to spend time outdoors. Her favorite place was to be able to go to the beach to enjoy the sand and the waves. Anyone who knew Patsy knew of her deep love and compassion for all animals. She rescued many four-legged children over her lifetime. That love for animals is now passed to all of her children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren. Patsy retired from Anderson County as Assistant County Clerk. She loved the years she spent at the county developing many new friendships. Prior to working for the County, she was Office Manager with H. L. Brown and Associates, a local factoring firm, where she spent the majority of her career making life-long friends. She was a devoted member of Crocket Road Church of Christ which she considered her second family. She loved spending time with her Church family. Patsy enjoyed the many years of community service by serving on the boards of Altrusa, Meals on Wheels and the Humane Society. The last five years of her life she lived at Windermere Assisted Living which she loved. She was able to reconnect with her friends from earlier years and meet new ones. The staff became her second family. She formed a special bond with Cammy Culbertson and Lisa Williams. Patsy is survived by her devoted son Michael Morris and wife Elbia who she loved as a daughter, Brenda Beazley and husband Jack, Cathy Basso and husband Scott. Grandchildren, Chad Morris, Jason Morris and wife Amy, Gerald (Jerry) Morris, Jr. and wife Michelle, Alex Basso Moore and husband Steve, Miranda Basso Sisson and husband Riley, Claire Basso Wallace and husband Michael. Several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Daisy Stendebach, loving husband Frank Bush, her two son's father Floyd Morris, her son Gerald Morris and her best friend James Mosley. In addition to two of her special grandchildren Kristen Morris and Stephanie Basso. The family would like to thank her Windermere family, the caregivers who provided love and care as needed over the last two years and her medical caregiver Debbie Hernandez along with Dr. Michael Gorby. Patsy will be cremated and a memorial service will be planned in January 2026 to celebrate her life.
