Bio

Rodney E. Kieborz, 75, of Litchfield, NE died on Saturday, December 13, 2025 surrounded by his family at home. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hazard with Fr. Richard Piontkowski officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Litchfield Cemetery. Rodney Kieborz was born on March 28, 1950 in Loup City, NE to Adam and Mabel (Young) Kieborz. He graduated from Litchfield Public Schools. He entered the Air Force on September 16, 1969 and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a Sargent E-4 on July 17, 1971 from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He was united in marriage to Patricia Miigerl on October 10, 1970. After which the couple lived on the farm near Litchfield where Rod was employed by VC Howard Hay Company before working as a custodian for Litchfield Public Schools. After his retirement in 2018 he went back and helped VC Howard Hay Company again. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing and deer hunting. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kieborz; sons, Shane and Lance Kieborz; sister, Linda Summers; and sisters-in-law, Roberta Paitz and Paula Albright. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law, Linda Pokorney.
