Bio
Erik O Goplin was born in Norway about 1805. He married Eli (Roen) Goplin in Norway before 1852 and the family came to America in 1867 with their six children: 1. Olaus Goplin 1851 2. Maria Goplin Myhren 1853-1958, Spokane, WA married Peter A Myhren 3. Julius Goplin 1855 4. Simon Goplin lived in New Folden, Marshall Co, MN 5. August Goplin 1857 6. Elise "Lizzie" Goplin Eng 1860-1904 in SD, married John Eng The family, settling first near Janesville, Wisconsin. In 1869 they moved to their homestead, now the Ludwig Goplin farm in the town of Hale, where most of their children grew to adulthood. Funeral services were held at the Synod Lutheran Church at Pigeon Falls. Maria moved to Spokane, Washington, see her brother August's obit.
