Louis Preisler, Jr. Dec. 7, 1934 – July 24, 2008 Mr. Louis John Preisler, 73, of Wharton, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on December 7, 1934, in Wharton, the son of the late Louis John Preisler, Sr. and Elsie Bremser Preisler. Mr. Preisler served as an educator, starting his career with the Boling ISD and later with Wharton ISD and Wharton County Junior College. He married Betty Ross Raborn on July 29, 1979, in Wharton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wharton, a member of the SFOA and refereed football for over forty years. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter, Glenda Preisler; and brother William Preisler. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Wharton. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests memorials the First Baptist Church in Wharton, the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart /Stroke Association. Funeral services are under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home. Published July 27, 2008
