Bio

Born in Tallassee an Indian village near Montgomery, Alabama. Married in the Florida Territory in what is today Alabama. Regardless of the date on her headstone, every census has her born in 1803. Daughter of John Ward and Nancy Elizabeth Knight; wife of Bartholonew Gordon Childress. Although her stone say she was born in 1807, most of the census have her born in 1803. I found records that she was born in 1803 and baptised in 1807.
