Bio

Gerald Henggeler was born May 23, 1923. He married Barbara Gabriel on Oct 29, 1947. She died in 1982. Gerald later remarried. Gerald was born and raised in Polk County, Neb., and farmed there until 1958, when he moved to Fort Collins. He worked for Ideal Cement Company of LaPorte for 28 years. He moved to Fort Morgan in 1984. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2551, in Fort Morgan, and had served as Post Junior Vice Commander in 1991 and 1992. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 19, in Fort Collins; a member of the Fort Collins Moose Lodge No 275; the Fort Morgan Elks Lodge, Post 114; the Fort Morgan Democratic Committee; and St. Joseph and St. Helena Catholic churches.
