Bio

Daughter of David Thomas McKee and Persis Moors Sweat, of Pennsylvania. In 1871 she moved with her parents and sisters to Salina. She was married to George S. Gates on April 1, the third couple to be married after Salina had become a settlement. Mr. Gates died and four years later she married Joseph Sorenson of Salina. Obituary appears in the Richfield Reaper, 19 December 1929.
