Bio

Had run into an interesting problem, seeking th maiden name of Charlene, wife of Norman Elwood Castleberry, and found that she was Charlene Edwards, daughter of Charles W. Edwards and his first wife, Millie O, also the mother of Glen L. and Lake E. Edwards. Norman married, second, Endoxy Cope, daughter of Andrew jackson Cope and Mahala Breeding ca. 1918-1919, and thus was the mother of Art E. Edwards (identified as Arty Edwards in the 1930 Census).Very strange that there is a marker for him here at the Riley Cemetery in Oak Level, Marshall County, Kentucky, as his death is recorded: "Name: Art E. Edwards, SSN: 402-72-3720, Last Residence: 40021 Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky, United States of America, Born: 27 May 1919, Died: 28 Aug 1997, State (Year) SSN: Issued: Kekntucky (1966)." Social Security Death Index, Ancestry.com. Thought I would let you know. John W. Grubbs, Austin, Texas the son of Charles W.Edwards & his 2nd wife, Martha Eudoxy Cope Edwards. By his 1st wife,Millie O. Wallace Edwards, Charles W. Edwards had Glen, Lake & Charlene Edwards,& Art Y. Edwards was their half brother. Charlene Edwards married Norman Castleberry. The other Art E. Edwards referred to on here is the wrong Art. He is Art E. not Art Y. Art Y. doesn't have his death on the tombstone at Oak Level, Marshall Co; Ky. i guess because most all of the family has died.
