Source: Daily Ardmoreite WILSON -- Graveside services for Joseph W. "Joe" Nelson, 66, will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006, at Bomar Point Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Gillum officiating. Born on Sept. 22, 1939, in Wilson to the Rev. James Alonzo Nelson and Hettie Green Hembree Nelson, he died on May 8, 2006 at his residence in Sapulpa. He was preceded in death by his father on March 28, 1988, and his mother on Oct. 8, 1996. Raised in southern California, he achieved the title of Ford Master Mechanic, most recently employed by Hollywood Ford in Hollywood, Calif. In 2003, he moved to Sapulpa where he attended the Assembly of God Church. He and Lorraine Ceniceros were married on Oct. 10, 1983, in Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife of El Monte, Calif.; four daughters, Alice, Vicki, Connie and Katrina, and stepdaughter, Kristina, all of California; two sons, David Nelson, California, and Lonnie Nelson, El Monte; sisters, Dolores Nelson and Jimmie Rushing, Sapulpa, and Louise Lynn, Fillmore, Calif.; Many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; numerous cousins and other relatives. Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, will direct services.
