Bio

Loye Lee Hairston, 76, a retired heavy equipment operator in Whitney, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, in Temple. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, Burleson. Private interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Mr. Hairston was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Chrismon to A.J. and Nora Price Hairston. He maried Frances Ann Petru on June 14, 1952, in Cameron; she preceded him in death March 29, 2002. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea. Survivors: Sons, Randall Hairston and wife, Diane, of Joshua and Barkley Hairston of Whitney; daughters, Cheryl Gallegos and husband, Eddie, of Burleson and Gay Jean of Burleson; brother, Orbie Hairston of Temple; sister, Mae Johnson of Minerva; grandchildren, Justin, Barkley Jr. and April Hairston, Sylvia Jones, Mathew Gallegos and Ashley Jean; four great-grandchildren.
