Bio

Funeral services for Mrs. Clay (Lucy) England, 93, of rural Windsor, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Sullivan. Burial was in French Cemetery near Allenville. Mrs. England died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. She was born in Monroe County, Ky., April 3, 1884, a daughter of John and Henrietta Fultz Crowe and married Clay England in 1906. He died in 1967. She was a member of the Windsor Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two sons, Edd England of Sullivan and Cecil England of Salem; five daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Ola) Hampton of Bethany, Mrs. Lewis (Pauline) Harl of Sullivan, Mrs. James (Vergie) Easton of Harristown, Mrs. Jack (Edith) Kraus of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Bill (Mary) Schuman of Garland, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Shafer (Callie) Hardwick of Beardstown; 32 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Three sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
