Linn Dies Was Well-Known Cook County Resident; Succumbs at Home in Era Monday Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Linn and children, Johnnie Sue and Davis, left Memphis Monday morning upon receipt of a telegram telling of the death of Mrs. Linn's father, William Houston Knight. Mr. Knight died at his home in Era at 8 o'clock Monday morning, following a brief illness. He was 67 years of age. Funeral services for Mr. Knight were held Tuesday afternoon February 2, at 3 o'clock from the Baptist Church in Era by Mr. Knight's half-brother Rev. Gregg Howard, assisted by the church pastor, Rev. Hand. Interment was in the Era Cemetery. Mr. Knight was a native Texan and was a pioneer resident of Cooke County, having lived there 50 years. Besides his widow, he is survived by seven children, Uel Knight of Burleson, Mrs. R.C. Hunter of Valley View, Bill Knight of Era, Mrs. W.L. Crabb of Floydada, Mrs. Lester C. Linn of Memphis, Fred Knight of Era, Harper L. Knight of Henrietta. Mr. Linn returned to Memphis Wednesday, and Mrs. Linn and children remained. They will return Sunday.
