Bio

Norma Gean Fontenot, age 70, gained her angel wings on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Heritage Villa in Dayton, Texas. She was born on March 13, 1949 to Tennie Dagle and Betty Ellen Fregia Dagle in Daisetta, Texas. Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed life and loved music. Especially gospel and country music. Norma loved to play cards and bingo. She also liked to play on her iPad. She was a playful person with a friendly personality. Norma had an infectious, beautiful smile and sweet compassionate soul. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elder Lee Fontenot; sons Steven Lee Fontenot, Terry Lynn Fontenot and Edward Burt Fontenot; stepson Larry Lee Fontenot; brothers Wilson, James, Eule Dagle and Velia Whitmire; sisters Rose Etta Proctor, Barbara Ballard, Betty Joyce and Mary Christine Dagle. She leaves behind to cherish her memory sister Ellen Gaston and husband James; brother Tennie Dagle and wife Ella. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5-8pm in the chapel of Allison Funeral Services, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas 77575. Funeral services will be held the following day, October 23, 2019 at 2pm at Allison Funeral Services with Reverend James Simmons officiating.
