Bio
Funeral services celebrating the life of Zealie Johnson, Sr., will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Cravens, with Reverend Ed Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in in the church Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to8:00 p.m. Zealie Johnson, Sr., of Lena, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the V. A. Medical Center, Pineville. Zealie proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and was a WWII and Vietnam Veteran. He was a church deacon, Shriner and a Master Mason member of the Boyce Masonic Lodge # 273 F&AM and the Caddo Masonic Lodge # 117 F&AM. Zealie spent his life working and helping others. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Haymon Johnson. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Zealie Johnson, Jr. and Harold Bannick; daughter, Barbra Johnson; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Coy J. Bass and a host of other family members and friends. We love you daddy and will miss you always!!
