J.O. Fountain officiating. Burial was in the adjacent cemetery under the direction of Hargrove funeral home. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Narcisse Johnson of Craven; eight daughters, Mrs. Viola Perkins, Mrs. Kizar Woods, Miss Tessie Ann Johnson, Mrs. Mary Wisby, Mrs. Ada Wisby, Mrs. Peal Doyle, all of Craven, Mrs. Hattie Buxton of Beaumont, Texas; and Mrs. Mae Thompson, of Orange, Texas; two sons, Charles Johnson and Willie Johnson of Craven; one brother, Calvin Johnson, two sisters, Mrs. Liza Bass and Mrs. Morgan Baylock, all of Cravens; 44 grandchildren and 21 great granchildren.
