Aaron Johnson Sex: M Birth: 14 FEB 1832 in Bayou Chicot, St. Landry, Louisiana Death: 8 OCT 1917 in Cravens, Vernon, Louisiana Burial: Gravel Hill Cem., Cravens, Vernon, Louisiana Military Service: Co. G, 4th LA Infantry, CSA 22 OCT 1862 Note: Aaron Johnson enlisted in the Confederate States Army on October 22, 1862, in Capt. Fields Company at Camp Bisby in the 4th LA Infantry. He served in both Companies G and H. He was shot in the upper right thigh on April 8, 1864, and had his leg amputated just below the hip. This information is from two applications for a state pension, one in 1898 and one in 1900. Records show he was allotted $15.20 a quarter. Father: John L.
