Bio

Wesalene White Calhoon Wesalene, 80, a native of DeRidder and resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away Wednesday January 27, 2010. Wesalene is survived by one daughter, Vickie Crouch and son-in-law, John Crouch, of Houma; one grand-daughter, Dawn Crouch Foret and one grand-son, Shawn Crouch, both of Houma; one great-grand-daughter, Peyton Bergeron of Houma; one sister, Jean Perkins and husband John Perkins of Oakdale; three step-daughters, Cherry Martin and husband, Victor; Sue Smith and Joann Clements and husband Jimmy; six step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Wes White; her first husband C.W. James and her second husband, Taylor Calhoon. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of DeRidder. A wake will take place Friday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service which is 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cravens, Louisiana.
