Bio
Elsie was born in Hallettsville, Texas, August 7, 1931. She married the love of her life, Henry Martin Vasek on October 21, 1947. They were married for 65 years before his passing in 2011. Elsie's true passion was raising her nine children. Her life was lived loving Henry and her children, sharing times with family, friends, and dedicating her life to Jesus. Her courage in facing the loss of loved ones, her deteriorating health was inspiring to those around her. Even in the most difficult situations, she had dignity and grace. Her family will be forever thankful and appreciative for her example of hard work and her faith and dedication to Jesus. Elsie truly lived, and will forever live within our hearts and memories. Elsie is survived by several children and in-laws; 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Henry Martin Vasek, sons Jimmie Vasek and Ralph Vasek, daughter-in-law LaVonna Vasek, and son-in-law Michael Brock.
