Wife of Friedrich Madl married in Bavaria Lawrence Journal-World (Lawrence, Kansas) 30 January 1941 Mrs. Antonia Madl, aged 97, died yesterday morning in St. Margaret's hospital in Kansas City, Kan., from the infirmities of old age. Funeral services will be held from the Holy Family Catholic church in Eudora Friday morning at 9 o'clock. Father Lawrenz Reith will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Madl was born in Germany, December 25, 1843. She came to America with her husband 49 years ago and came immediately to the Bellview neighborhood where she spent the remainder of her life. Her husband died 22 years ago, and her daughter, Mrs. George Bichelmeyer, with whom she made her home, died last year. Mrs. Madl is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lona Safford, of Lawrence, and Mrs. Emil Krepcik, of Farnum, Neb.; two sons, Joe Madl, of Eudora, and Fred Madl, of St. Paul, Kan.; 35 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren.
