Belleville , Illinois - Edna Earle Shockey, 95, of Belleville, Illinois passed away at 8:59 pm on Thursday May 16, 2024 at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Illinois. She was born February 9, 1929 in East St Louis, Illinois to Parker and Louise (Dean) Archer. She graduated from East St. Louis High School and was a civil servant at Scott AFB for several years. She lived in London, Florida and the St. Louis area including downtown St. Louis. Her hobbies were church, friends and spending time with her family. Edna also had a special love for all her dogs and cats she's had over the years. Mourning her loss are one daughter, Carol Justice; three grandsons, Jim (Rose) Polarine Jr., Greg (Sabrena) Polarine, Gene (RAI) Polarine; two great-granddaughters, Natalie Polarine, Zelda Polarine and one niece, Cindy (Patrick) Breese. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Warren Shockey, Murray Nienhaus, two sons, John Bovinett, Thomas Bovinett and one sister Virginia Archer Bueschel.
