Kirkland, Joe Wayne Joe Wayne Kirkland passed away on November 30, 2006 at the age of 77 years old. Joe was born January 2, 1929 in Chambersville, TX to Edgar and Bertha Kirkland. Joe was a forty year resident of Colorado Springs and a twenty year veteran of the US Air Force. Joe was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and TREA. Joe is survived by his wife of 56 and a half years, Phyllis, as well as daughters Debbie, Suzie (Dennis), and his son, Teddy; his mother, Bertha Kirkland of Austin, TX; his sister, Sue Hill of Del Rio, Tx; brother, Jeril and Katha Kirkland of Austin, TX, and five grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Ted Kirkland, and his grandson, Joe Schneider. A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 pm. Wednesday December 6, at Cappadona's, 1020 E. Fillmore. Services will be held on Thursday, December 7 at Cappadona's, with a reception to follow at the Elks, 309-3500 N. Nevada, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Account of Joe W. Kirkland at ENT Federal Credit Union, account no. 455723
