Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church ~ Prague, Nebraska Gary Lee Mach, 82, of Prague, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home in rural Prague, NE. He was born July 18, 1943 in Prague, NE to Joseph and Adaline (Polak) Mach. Gary attended District 83 country school and he graduated from Prague High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. National Guard for six years. On April 12, 1969, Gary was married to Beverly Duffek at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. They shared 26 years together and welcomed six children. Gary was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer. He prepared graves for burial at several local cemeteries. In addition, he was the groundskeeper of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. He was a lifelong member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a hard-working, faithful man. Gary's greatest loves were spending time with his grandchildren, farming and kolaches. He is survived by children, Dan Mach, Tracy (Tim) Gatewood, Jim Mach, Brian (Jill) Mach, Lori (Robert) Alm and Sara (Keith) Fillion; grandchildren, Timothy, Taylor and Tessa Gatewood, Macy and Nolan Mach, Carter and Cooper Alm, Hudson and Finnley Fillion; sister, Janice Warnke; many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Adaline Mach; brother-in-law, Jim Warnke.
