Charlene Wyvonne (Daugherty) Garner was born April 4, 1929, in Millsap, Texas. She passed away peacefully September 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas with family at her side. She was the daughter of Charlie Logan Daugherty and Mable Orene Woodruff. Charlene is survived by her daughters, Linda, Bev, Cathy, Denise, Kay, and Judy. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mable Daugherty; her husband, James F. Garner; her daughters, Cherryl and Pam; two baby boys; her sister, Edith; her brother, Charles; her grandson, Stevie; and her sons-in-law, Jerry, Clyde, and Gary. She was blessed with a large and loving family. She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a member of Westworth Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. She was always able to whip a meal while others found the cabinets to be bare. She will be forever in our hearts, deeply missed and her memory will be treasured by her family and friends. The family wishes to express gratitude for the care provided to our mother from the staff of Lake Lodge Nursing Home and the staff of St. Gabriel's Hospice. Visitation will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Minister Stan Cox will be officiating the services. Burial will follow the funeral at Brock Cemetery in Brock, Texas.
