William Marion Bowlin Citizen of Republic of Texas Private, Levi Truit's Company A, 28th Regiment, Texas Cavalry (Randal's) (1st Texas Lancers), CSA William M. Boland, 15, is listed with his parents James, 41, and Eliza, 31, in the 1850 federal census, Shelby County, Texas. He married Elvina Elizabeth Risinger on October 11, 1855, in Shelby County, Texas. Elizabeth was born in Marion County, Alabama, and had lived in Texas, and in Tenaha, since 1848. William M Bowlin, age 27, enlisted as a Private in Capt. A. M. Truit's Company, Randal's Regiment, Texas Lancers, on April 2, 1862, at Buena Vista, Shelby County, Texas. His horse was valued at $135 and equipments at $25.
