Bio
Marilyn Gail Patton Dillard, 71, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 29, 2025, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. Born on April 2, 1954, to Alfred Oda Patton and Janice Joan Andis Patton in New Castle, IN, she was a devoted member of Ecru Baptist Church. She loved crafting, going on outings with her gal pals, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren. Her zest for life, ability to find humor in everything, and her encouraging nature touched everyone around her. She will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter Amber Huey (Jeremy), granddaughters Ainsley and Emily Huey, stepson Kevin "Bo" Dillard (Tammy), stepdaughter Wendy Brown, sister Diana Patton (Richard), brother Steve Patton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Ray Dillard, and her brother William Merle Patton. The services are scheduled for 11 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Ecru Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Jeremy Huey and Bro. Drew Richardson. Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 2, and from 10 AM until the service begins on Friday. Burial will follow at Ecru Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Dillard, Lee Lamb, Bush Hamilton, John Bailey, and Jimmy Kidd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Patton and Richard Lamb.
