Kinnan of Columbus, who died Wednesday at Dodge County Community hospital in Fremont, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gass Funeral chapel. The Rev. Martin Braun of Shelby will officiate, and entombment will be in the family mausoleum at the Columbus cemetery. The body lies in state until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Miss Kinnan was born in Illinois, daughter of Martha Jennie and Joseph R. Kinnan, and came to Nebraska with her parents in 1874. She received her education at Osceola and Fremont Normal college and taught school for a number of years in Nebraska. With her mother and sister, Charlotte, Miss Jesse [sic] Kinnan moved from the family farm in Polk county, near Shelby, in 1908 to her present home in Columbus. Miss Kinnan was active in managing her farms, and was interested in geology. She was a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans, and was affiliated with the United Brethren church at an early age. She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mattie, Alberta, Alice and Charlotte, and brothers Spencer and Joseph.
