Teresa Gaye Attaway April 21, 1957 - September 4, 2025 McWhorter Funeral Home Funeral services for Teresa Gaye Attaway, 68, of Gilmer, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, September 8, 2025, at McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother David Jackson officiating. Interment to follow at Kelsey Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Sunday. Teresa was born on April 21, 1957, in Gilmer, Texas, to Charles Wayne McCellon and Opal Faye Johnson and passed from this life on September 4, 2025, surrounded by her family. Teresa worked for Wal-Mart for over 18 years before her retirement. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kristy McNeil (Trey), Jammie Porter, and Amanda Russell (Jeffery); sister, Lesia Matulis; brothers, Rick McDonald, Robert Overstreet, and Johnny Overstreet; grandchildren, Saber Moses, Kayle Stewart, Tucker Russell, Kamberlee Skinner, Duel Moses, Easton Russell, Hadley Flament, Kopelan Flament, and Kohen Flament. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Opal Overstreet; her father, Charles McCellon, and his wife, June; her sister, Pam McCellon; her brother, Bubba Overstreet; her granddaughter, Katheryne Russell; and her grandson, Kaizyn Flament. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Russell, Trey Chaney, Saber Moses, Thomas Matulis, Michael Overstreet, and Duel Moses. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Overstreet, and Robert Overstreet. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chambers Home Health Hospice, 201 W. 20th St., Ste. 101, Mt. Pleasant, Texas 75455
