The surname has also been spelled Sherman. Find A Grave contributor 48153476 provided the following: Middle name - Patterson. He was born a triplet. His brothers were Uriah McCoy Sherman and Samuel Williams Sherman. His mother Mary Ann Heidy Sherman Swales and stepfather Richard Swales are buried here as well. The grave of his father, Caleb Sherman, is unknown but also may be in Allen Memorial, as yet undiscovered.
