☆～ VETERAN, WORLD WAR II (1939-1945) ～☆ James V. Greig, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996 at St. Edward. He was born July 29, 1912, in Platte County to Paul Greig and Mary (Fish) Greig. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1942 to June 1945; and during World War II as a gunner. He was married on Jan. 4, 1952, to Minnie Fritzges at Council Bluffs, Iowa. His wife died in 1985. He was survived by 2 sisters: Isabel Brown at Albion, and Ellen Larson in Burns, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 brothers, 1 sister.
