Bio
Dora F. Engstrom, who died at Tri-State Memorial Hospital Tuesday at the age of 90. had been a resident of Clarkston for the past eight years. She was the wife of Chester Engstrom, a retired farmer. The couple lived at 435 7th St. at the time of her death. Mrs. Engstrom was born in a sod house in Platte County. Nebraska, Aug. 18, 1886, the daughter of John and Amelia Fritzges. She attended school in Nebraska and grew to womanhood there. She married Engstrom at Albion. Neb., Dec. 10, 1906. They would have been married 70 years Wednesday. The Engstroms farmed in Nebraska for 35 years and then moved to lowa, where they farmed for another 30 years near Spirit Lake. She moved with him to Clarkston in 1968 and had lived there since. Also surviving are a son, Cecil Engstrom of Kirkland. Wash., and a daughter Dorothy Carstenson of Spirit Lake, lowa. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Merchant Funeral Home. The Rev.
