Juanita Morris June 5, 1932 — August 13, 2025 Fritch Juanita Morris, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Juanita was born June 5, 1932, in Bomarton, Texas to Jim Vassaur and Elvia Kelly Vassaur. She lived a big life and lived it well; she was a proud black land farm girl. Juanita enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and her dogs. She sewed many costumes for her children and wedding dresses too. Juanita earned an honorary purple heart for her dedication to serving the veteran community. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, she bled blue! Juanita also was known to watch the Texas Longhorns play some football too. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Elvia Vassaur; husband, Aldrey "Bo" Morris; and all six of her siblings. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Liller and husband Steve of Youngstown, Ohio, Rhonda Jett of Fredericksburg, Maryland, Janet Stieg of Brookhaven, New York; grandchildren, Justyn Newcomb, Briana Newcomb, Nicholas Stieg, Claire Alamral, Matthew Jett; one great grandbaby on the way; and a host of extended family.
