Helen T Oliver Obituary SHREVEPORT, LA-Services celebrating the life of Helen Moon Oliver will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Gene Nix and a special tribute by a dear family friend Father Thomas John. Interment will follow at Forest Park St. Vincent. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the funeral home.Helen was born on June 5, 1925 in Anniston, Alabama. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 5, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. There to greet her in Heaven were her parents, DeWitt and Ellie Tibbitts and her loving husband, Ray I. Oliver. Left to cherish her precious memory is her Son, John Randall Moon; daughters, Ellie Deloris Moon Aycock, Melda Lynn Moon Oliver and Teresa Marian Moon Cooke; sister, Sara Grizzard; grandchildren, Kathy Chalk, Kevin Aycock, Jason Aycock, Patricia Busher, Tisa Desbrow, Tonya Wallace, Shaun Oliver, Michelle Kaylor, Miles J. Oliver, Amanda Smith, John Richard Mitchell and 14 beautiful great-grandchildren. Helen was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Helen's family would like to thank to Christus Hospice and Dr. Alan Borne for their loving care and compassion for her during her illness. Honoring Helen as Pallbearers will be Jason Aycock, Kevin Aycock, Doe Busher, Gary Kaylor, John Richard Mitchell, Miles J. Oliver, Shaun Oliver and Howard Smith.Helen's family suggests that memorials in her name may be made to Christus Hospice, One St. Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101 or charity of donor's choice.
