SHIRLEY ALOIS (SA) TROJCAK Obituary Shirley Alois Trojcak was born on August 26, 1932, in Shiner, Texas to Louis J. and Edna Kasper Trojcak, at his grandparent's Kasper Family farm, with Dr. R.W. Wagner in attendance. At an early age, he moved to the Ferdinand and Erna Kasper farm in order to attend Bunjes School, a country school considered to be within walking distance of four miles, across fences and pastures. After his parents moved to Wied, Texas, Shirley attended school for one year at Wied. At a young age, Shirley's parents gave up farming when his father accepted a position with Seaboard Oil Co and moved the family to Robstown, Texas. Having attended grade school and then Robstown High School, he joined the school band playing trumpet, where he achieved first chair. After high school, Shirley enrolled at Texas A&I (now Texas A&M) University in Kingsville, Texas. He proudly served his country during the Korean conflict, performing in the Fort Bliss 424th Army Band in El Paso, Texas, for his entire two-year military duty. Shirley then returned to Texas A&I to earn a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. Graduating in 1952. Phillips Petroleum recruited him at graduation and sent him on a six-month training program to all of their processing plants, beginning in Borger, Texas, and ending in their plant in Kansas City, Kansas. It was in Kansas City, Missouri, that he met Carole Pierce, his future wife. They married on February 1, 1959, and produced their pride and joys of their lives… three wonderful children, two boys and one girl. Shirley's later job histories included Dow Chemical Company's, Gulf Coast Engineering, PB-KBB and Enron Corporation in Houston, Texas. During his work experience, he was awarded the prestigious Professional Engineering Certificate of which he was very proud. He made the wise move to take an early retirement package from his present employer Enron and started an easier life. Not too long after, they came calling back and he enjoyed the consulting life which gave him the freedom to enjoy his love as a musician in various polka bands, which he played with many throughout his life. The final was the Shiner Hobos Band. Also, it gave him the extra time allowed for him and his wife Carole to begin spending more time at the family farm in Shiner. Splitting their time between their homes in Missouri City and Shiner, then living full time at the family home place enjoying many great times with family and friends. Preceded in life was his wife of 64 years Carole Pierce Trojcak. Survived by his children Kenneth Trojcak and his wife Joann of Shiner, Lou Ann Micucci of Carte Madera CA, and Kevin Trojcak of Missouri City. Grandchildren Rebecca Salas, husband Christian, Isabella Micucci, Katy Lou Micucci, Taylor Pulliam, wife Melissa, children Ethan, Mason and Madeline, Sarah McKay, husband Brent, children Beaux, Wes, and Nora, John Hanshew wife Angie, child Timi.
