Josephine Hill, 94, of Rusk, passed through Heavens Gate on Friday afternoon, May 2, 2025. A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, May 7, 2025, at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, to begin at 3:00pm. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Rusk, Texas. Pastor Keith Hassell will officate the service. Josephine was born in Dime Box, Texas, on December 21, 1930, to parents Henry and Mary Vavra. Josephine spent her years as a loving and supportive homemaker. Josephine was a proud mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, and friend to many - and she will truely be missed by all. She is preceded by her Father, Henry Frank Vavra, Mother, Mary Vavra, Husband, Clovis Allen Hill, Sister, Marie Brister, Sister, Henrietta "Pam" Kyburz, Brother, Jerry Vavra, and Brother, Henry Vavra. She is survived by her Daughter, Linda Marie Cobble, Granddaughter, Brittany Birdwell (Leslie), Brother, James Vavra, Sister, Frankie Richardson, Grandson, Stephen Cobble (Elizabeth), Great-granddaughter, Emily Birdwell, Great-granddaughter, Addilee Birdwell, Great-grandson, Cohen Cobble, and Great-grandson, Liam Cobble. Pallbearers will be Leslie Birdwell, Dillon Birdwell, Brandon Rossa, Bryan Sosby, Justin Richardson, and Jacob Simmons.
