Bio
Dennis G. Dostal, 70 of rural David City, passed away on August 9, 2025. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Moravec Johnson Mortuary in David City. Visitation will continue Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 9-10 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in David City, with the funeral service at 10 am. Burial will be after the service at Edholm Cemetery near Linwood. Lunch will follow the burial at the Redeemer Lutheran Church Hall. Dennis was born May 15, 1955 to Louis and Evelyn(Boese) Dostal in Schuyler, Nebraska. He graduated from David City High School in 1973, then attended the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska. Dennis was united in marriage to Carolyn Cordes on August 24, 1985 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Louisville. Twin daughters: Adaela and Heidi were born to this union. He was on the Co-op Board for several years and loved farming, mechanic work, antique tractors and machinery, and his dog: Milo. Survived by his daughters: Adaela Dostal of David City and Heidi (Allen) Dostal-Wellman and soon-to-be grandson of Fremont; brother: Gary(Cindy) Dostal and his children: Andrew Dostal and Katie Gleason; his cousin: Kathy(Morris) Peters; and his dog: Milo. Dennis is preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn in March 2024; parents: Louis and Evelyn Dostal; and father and mother-in-law: Orville and Esther Cordes.
