He was born June 2, 1910, to Charles and Freda Glass Justus at New York City. He married Millie Smolinski and they later divorced. He married Jeannean Fuhrman in 1962. The marriage ended in divorce in 1991. During his early years he farmed in Nebraska. In the 1930s he moved to Weippe, where he worked at Schmidt Bros Mill. He also owned a grocery store and service station there. The family moved to Clarkston in 1948 and he worked in construction. He also logged at Kendrick. From 1969 through 1980 and in partnership with his wife, he was owner of the Stockyard Cafe in North Lewiston. He liked to steelhead fish and in 1963 won a derby, which netted him and his wife a trip to Hawaii. He also enjoyed pool, cutting wood, snowmobiling and camping. He was a past member of the Clarkston Moose Lodge. He is survived by a son, Bill Justus of Weippe; a daughter, Darlene Jackson of Weippe; a stepdaughter, Teri Smith of Clarkston; a stepson, Lonnie Fuhrman of Moses Lake; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren. A son, Jack Justus died previously. There will be no service. Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home in Lewiston is handling arrangements.
