Reatha Mae Hullihen Eret, age 92, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at UPMC Hamot surround by her loved ones. She was born in Clearfield, PA on October 3, 1932, daughter of the late Iva and EK Hullihen. Reatha graduated in 1950 From Curwensville High School in Curwensville, PA. In the Fall, she went to work at the Airplane and Marine in Clearfield. In 1955, she moved to Washington, D.C., and was employed in Officers Correspondence by the Navy Dept. Later, Reatha moved to VA and was employed by the Army Dept at Fort Belvoir in Research and Development Lab. On January 13, 1957, she married Frank G. Eret. They moved to Erie in 1958. Once all the children were in school, she went to work at Erie Insurance, retiring in 1995 after 26 years. Reatha was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years and was treasurer for 20 years. After moving into an assisted living apartment, she started a Bible Study group. Reatha enjoyed many activities, such as playing cards, dominoes, bingo and watching "The Wheel" of Fortune, but her favorite thing was traveling all over the US with her husband and wintering in San Juan, TX. They both enjoyed cruises to East and West Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii. The best trip was a road trip to Alaska in 2000. Reatha was also an avid reader and owned many, many books. She loved God and family most and never ceased to thank God for all the wonderful things in her life. In addition to her parents, Reatha was preceded in death by the love of her life, Frank, her husband of 63 years; her brother, Lynn Hullihen; son-in-law, Larry McCune; and two grandsons, Samuel McCune and Jonathan Eret. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Leslie (Rich) and Sonja McCune; one son, Frank Eret (Diane); five grandchildren, Jennifer Cowser (Ryan), Matt Leslie (Jessica), Josh Leslie (Caitlin), Tegan and Keely McCune; five great-grandchildren, Carson and Parker Cowser, Emelia and Bennett Leslie, and Lillian Leslie. Burial Greenfield Baptist Cemetery.
