Bio

Charles Allon Travis began his walk by faith on March 1, 1948, and on July 11, 2025 he began his walk by sight. With his loving wife, by his side, he passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. Charles was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping. All of the deer, hogs, rabbits, squirrels, all manner of fish, and other critters are resting easier today. Charles was a life long member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Charles' enduring legacy includes his wife of 57 years; his two sons; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; James and Elsie Travis, his in-laws; Elvin and Louise Miers, and his granddaughter; Jade Travis.
