Henry Wesley Odlozil, Jr., 72, passed from this life Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Ennis, Texas. He was born November 22, 1952, in Ennis to Henry Wesley Odlozil, Sr. and Mary Jane (Slovak) Odlozil. Buckshot, as he was known by family and friends, graduated from St. John's High School in Ennis in 1971 and from Texas A&M University in 1975 with an Agriculture Economics degree where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets Squadron 4-Phantom-4. He returned to Bardwell following graduation and farmed the family farm for several years. On February 21, 1981, he married the former Kennette Farmer of Bardwell. He was also employed by Slovak Construction for many years before working for Proctor and Gamble in Dallas and Alexandria, Louisiana, retiring in 2016 and again returning to his hometown to be near their children, grandchildren, and extended family. Buckshot had a fondness for his 1978 El Camino, doted on his grandchildren, and was proud to be an Aggie, supporting other family members who wore the maroon and white. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Wesley Odlozil, Sr.; sister Janice Kirk; grandparents Joe and Janie Slovak and Joseph and Frances Odlozil; and aunts and uncles Johnny Odlozil, Teresa Odlozil, Wesley Odlozil, Patsy Odlozil, Joseph (Jodie) Odlozil, George, and Anna Lee Toth. Visitation will be at J.E. Keever Mortuary on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. with a Rosary to start at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will follow on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Keever Chapel. Burial will be at Elm Branch Cemetery following services.
